Man charged with stabbing two scooter theft victims in Anaheim

A 35-year-old man was charged Tuesday with stabbing a man and a boy as they resisted an attempted scooter robbery in Anaheim.

Emmanuel Lucino Garcia has been charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and robbery, all felonies, and faces sentencing enhancements for inflicting serious bodily injury on victims and personal use of a deadly weapon.

Garcia was accused of trying to steal a scooter, and when the victim and his relative tried to get it back, the defendant stabbed him at 2916 W. Lincoln Ave., near Beach Boulevard, around 10:45 p.m. Friday , hit both of them, Anaheim police said Sergeant. Matt Sutter.
