Draper police are searching for a man suspected in an assault case

Draper police are searching for a man suspected of assault.

According to police, the attack occurred overnight between Monday and Tuesday in the area of ​​700 East 12100 South.

A man was on his way to work from the Kimballs Lane TRAX station when he got into a “verbal altercation” with the suspect, who ended up attacking the man, police said.

The victim suffered injuries that he was taken to the hospital and released, police said.

The man police are looking for is a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, with bald or close-cropped hair, a short beard and a 3- to 4-inch goatee that may be temporary in nature.

At the time of the attack, the man was shirtless and “hairy torso,” according to police.

Police said they believe this is an isolated incident, meaning there is no danger to the public.
