Lil Reese responds after being arrested on assault charges

Lil Reese is being held without bail after being arrested over an alleged domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend.

According to a report TMZ As posted on Monday, September 30, the 31-year-old artist was taken into custody by police in Houston. Reese was at The Address nightclub on Sunday evening when he was approached by police officers who were already stationed at the scene. Witnesses said police surrounded the rapper and handcuffed him two weeks after an arrest warrant was issued. Reese, born Tavares Taylor, is accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend in an incident at a strip club.

Police said Lil Reese was at the Pink House in Houston last month when he met his ex-girlfriend as she left her work shift around 6:30 a.m. The two had been together for two months before the woman recently ended their relationship. Reese allegedly tried to kiss his ex several times during their brief encounter. After she rejected him, the rapper allegedly became angry and slapped her on the right cheek. He also allegedly choked her after applying pressure to her neck with both arms.

Luckily, the woman’s friend was nearby and called security to break her up. Reese’s ex had redness and fingernail scratches on his neck, which was enough for police to get an arrest warrant. The alleged victim told police she was “gasping for air” and fearing for her life.

“Mr. Taylor vehemently denies these false allegations,” said Lil Reese’s attorney Carl Moore TMZ. “We look forward to his day in court.”

Lil Reese will remain in jail in Houston after a judge denied his bail.
