Tom Brady’s Super Bowl LI bracelet, NFL Combine jersey and watch collection are up for auction

Tom Brady’s Super Bowl LI bracelet, NFL Combine jersey and watch collection are up for auction

Various items from Tom Brady’s personal collection will be auctioned off in December, including his Super Bowl LI game card bracelet, his 2000 NFL Combine jersey, his final college jersey and several high-end watches. The items will all be part of a Sotheby’s auction titled “The GOAT Collection: Watches and Treasures from Tom Brady” on December 10th.

“I have been extremely fortunate to have such an amazing journey in my career, and these watches and collectibles truly capture those unforgettable moments and all the hard work that goes into them,” Brady said in a Sotheby’s press release. “I’m excited to give fans and collectors the chance to own and appreciate these special pieces of my journey as much as I have.”

The item in the collection with the highest estimated value of $400,000 to $800,000 is an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak flying tourbillon watch in white gold and diamonds. It was designed for Brady and features his name and a blue seven in Roman numerals, indicating the number of Super Bowls he won during his career. He wore the watch for his Netflix roast. (However, some would say this diminishes the value of the watch.)

Also in the auction is the t-shirt Brady wore when he “ran” the 40-yard dash at the 2000 NFL Combine before being selected in the sixth round by the New England Patriots. Brady’s 5.28-second time was considered the slowest time by a quarterback in more than a decade (he ran a faster 40 seconds earlier this year at age 46). Brady’s Combine appearance has become something of a meme over the years, symbolizing the inauspicious start to his legendary NFL career. According to Sotheby’s, the shirt has an estimated value of $100,000 to $200,000.

Before that Combine jersey, Brady donned another item in the auction – his last Michigan Wolverines jersey, which he wore in the 35-34 Orange Bowl win over Alabama. Brady threw for 369 yards and four touchdowns in the game, an NCAA career high, including a game-winning touchdown pass in overtime. This jersey has an estimated value of $300,000 to $500,000.

Another unique item in the auction is the game card bracelet Brady wore during the Patriots’ historic comeback win in Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons. The bracelet includes a variety of games for 3rd down situations with names like “G Spark STG 72 Gotti Snow” and “China Boot Rodeo Dimple.” Brady was named the game’s MVP after leading his team to come back from a 28-3 deficit with 466 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. The bracelet is estimated to be worth between $120,000 and $180,000.
