Two men are accused of sexually abusing 12-year-old girls in North Kingstown

NORTH KINGSTOWN, Rhode Island (WLNE) – Two men have been arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting two 12-year-old girls.

19-year-old Dustin Buckley of Enfield, Connecticut, and 19-year-old Austin Sumner of Turner Falls, Massachusetts, were both charged with first-degree child abuse, sexual assault, contributing to the delinquency of a child under 16 and possession of a beverage under 21 .

According to officials, at approximately 2:51 a.m. on September 28, police received a call from a 12-year-old female who stated that she and her other 12-year-old friend had been sexually assaulted in the parking lot by two adult males Marine Road near the bike path.

When officers arrived, they located the girls and discovered they were both at a residence in Coventry when they were allegedly contacted via a public Snapchat account by one of the men.

At around 1am the girls were picked up from a nearby park in Coventry and transported to the Marine Road car park.

Inside the vehicle and outside in the parking lot, one of the women was sexually assaulted by both suspects.

Both male suspects were located after the girls stated that the men had a tent somewhere near the beach.

Police also found a 12-year-old boy known to both individuals who was allegedly given both marijuana and alcohol.

Both were arraigned in 3rd Division District Court on Sept. 30 and held without bail.
