‘Blown up’: Britney Spears recalls witnessing scary chimney accident almost six months ago

Four years after Britney Spears accidentally burned down her home gym, she has opened up about another horrific fire incident. In a recent Instagram post, the pop star shared details of a chimney accident that occurred nearly six months ago and resulted in facial burns and singed eyelashes and brows.

The 42-year-old singer opened up about the moment the fire exploded in her face while she was in her room. Speaking with a British accent, Spears revealed that her fireplace had caused problems before and that she usually took care of lighting the fireplace. However, this time she decided to do it herself, with disastrous results. “I just threw the whole thing in there and it literally blew up in my face,” she explained.

Despite the dangerous situation, the person accompanying her continued sleeping, leaving Spears to deal with the incident alone. The explosion singed her hair and left her with burns that left her worried she would have to go to the emergency room. “It took off all my eyelashes and eyebrows and – see those baby bangs? “This makes all my hair sizzle,” she shared with her followers.

Describing the intense pain, the pop star said it lasted for several hours and made it difficult for her to touch her phone or apply ice to her face. Spears ended up taking three Tylenol, which she said felt like taking “F–king Vicodin,” and was finally able to get some sleep. Reflecting on the incident, she said: “It was really bad… It’s all good now.”

This isn’t the first time Spears has faced a fire hazard. In 2020, she accidentally started a fire in her home gym using candles, destroying most of the equipment and charring the room.

Although the chimney accident was a frightening ordeal, Britney Spears assured fans that she has since recovered. After surviving multiple fire incidents over the years, the pop icon remains resilient and shares her experiences with a sense of humor and gratitude for her safety.
