Jay Leno shares update 2 years after burn accident

Life is looking for Jay Leno.

Two years after surviving a frightening petrol fire, the comedian gave a rare life update before introducing his surgeon. Dr. Peter Grossman, with the Outstanding Achievement in Medicine Award at the 2024 Daytime Beauty Awards on September 30th.

Leno explains that he was traveling a lot exclusively tells E! News on the red carpet“It is good. Things are going well. I can’t complain.”

“I just write jokes, tell jokes, get checked,” he noted. “Very easy process.”

And there is one reason above all else why the 74-year-old feels “very happy” in life: his wife Mavis Leno.

“I was very lucky. I’ve been married to the same woman for 45 years,” he shared, adding that the secret to a lasting relationship is “not messing around – simple as that.”

As for the prospects for the former Tonight’s show Host Leno joked that he just hopes his “next chapter” doesn’t involve his “next accident.”
