El Paso Constable arrests fugitive wanted for aggravated assault

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – Fugitive Michael Lewis Morton was arrested September 30 by the El Paso County Constable Office, Precinct Three, on an active Personal Recognizance (PR) bond revocation warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon , prison records show.

A PR bond is an option for defendants to be released from prison before their trial date. With a PR bond, defendants may be subject to other charges, such as: B. consulting with your probation officer or avoiding drugs and alcohol. The defendant would not have had to pay the entire bail amount if he had been granted a PR loan bond, but if his court date is missed he will be required to pay the bail in full.

Morton, 28, was taken into custody in the 10100 block of Palmetto and booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $100,000 fine.
