The Chucky TV series was the best part of the Child’s Play series, but it was just brutally canceled by Peacock

Chucky is a bit of an outlier when it comes to horror. You usually can’t beat the original film, and any sequels or TV adaptations pale in comparison – check out TechRadar’s ranking of all the Chucky movies. But the Peacock series impressed critics so much that it received a 93% Rotten Tomatoes rating, higher than the 1988 film Child’s play. With this in mind, it’s a real shame that the horror hit was canceled.

The adaptation ran for three successful seasons before it was announced that it would not be continuing. The Hollywood Reporter announced that the plug had been pulled on the killer doll. Unfortunately, while previous attempts to deactivate Chucky didn’t go so well, they finally did it. At least for now.
