Significant delays at Heuston station due to a “tragic incident” as emergency services attend the scene

“Services between Kildare and Newbridge have been suspended after a tragic incident was reported on the route,” Irish Rail said on X.

The route between Kildare and Newbridge is closed, causing significant disruption to all Heuston Commuter and Heuston Intercity routes.

The operator said Phoenix Park Tunnel services between Grand Canal Dock and Hazelhatch remained operational.

Rescue workers are on the way to deal with the tragic incident.

“We are working to organize bus transfers where possible,” Irish Rail added.
