Kochi: An Aluva-based actor is said to have lodged a complaint sexual misconduct Complaint against actor and director Balachandra Menon. The actor had earlier made complaints against other film personalities.
The allegation is that Menon misbehaved sexually with her in a hotel in Thiruvananthapuram in 2007. The director has reportedly denied the allegations and promised to take legal action against the complainant.
Cyber ​​Police Ernakulam had registered an FIR and initiated an investigation based on Menon’s complaint against circulating malicious videos with an intention to discredit him.
The FIR was registered without naming specific accused under Sections 67 (punishment for publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form) and 67A (punishment for publishing or transmitting material containing sexually explicit acts etc. in electronic form) of the Information Technology Act . The FIR states that with an intention to defame and threaten the complainant, the accused circulated videos containing vulgar discussions about the complainant through various YouTube channels.
A lawyer reportedly told the media on Sunday that he had called the director’s wife and warned against making a confidential statement against him. He said that the principal later answered the call and told him to do whatever he wanted and that he had no problem.
