4 “drunk” friends come home after dinner and die in accident in Noida, picture shows damaged car

A group of four friends were killed after their car was hit by a truck in Noida on Sunday evening. One person in the group suffered injuries and is currently in hospital. The people of Delhi had come to Noida for dinner. They were on their way back to Delhi when the loaded truck hit their car. Two people died on site and two others died in hospital.

The men were allegedly drunk and drove the car rashly. DCP, Noida, Ram Badan Singh said, “A speeding car carrying five men collided with a tractor in Sector 10-11 areas last night. Two people died on the spot while three injured people were hospitalized. The men were driving rashly and it appeared that they were drunk. A total of four people died in the incident.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences to the families and wished a speedy recovery to those injured. “The chief minister has directed officials to ensure adequate medical care for the injured and is actively working with the local administration to assist the families of the victims and address road safety concerns,” officials said.

The bodies were sent for autopsy. The police have registered a case and confiscated the tractor involved in the accident.
