Police on scene of shooting in Springfield Township

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) — There is currently a large police presence at the scene of a shooting in Springfield Township, Hamilton County dispatchers confirm.

It happened just after 10 p.m. Sunday on Winton Road at North Bend Road.

According to initial emergency reports, officers responded to a report of shots fired, a crashed vehicle and a person who was shot in the back and forehead and was no longer breathing.

Police immediately closed Winton Road at North Bend Road.
