Lucknow: A farmer was killed by a leopard Katerniaghat Wildlife Department‘S Kakraha area In Bahraichofficials said.
Farmer Kanhai (40) was working alone in the fields on Sunday evening when the leopard that emerged from the nearby forest launched a deadly attack.
When Kanhai did not return home for hours, his family began searching for him and found his body in the field.
Forest officials and local police arrived at the spot to investigate.
Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Katerniaghat, B Shivshankar, confirmed that the farmer was killed by a leopard.
