Tragic suicide of a financial firm employee in Jhansi highlights the crisis of work pressure Kanpur News

JHANSI: Days after a social media storm over the death of a young employee of a major tax consultancy EY supposedly due to Working pressurea 43-year-old area manager from a private financial company hanged himself at his house in Jhansi on Sunday.
According to a detailed suicide Tarun Saxena had struggled with the “relentless pressure to achieve ever-higher business goals” imposed on him by his employer, in a note found in his home. He allegedly took the extreme step shortly after joining the early morning conference call.
According to the suicide note, Saxena had been subjected to “constant abuse and humiliation from his superiors during daily meetings” for failing to meet set targets. The note revealed that he had considered suicide five times in the past few months but had managed to resist the urge.
Saxena’s younger brother and friends who had gathered at his house claimed to have heard the recordings of the deceased being humiliated and insulted by his superiors, which eventually drove him to commit suicide.
Jhansi SP (City) Gyanendra Kumar Singh said that the body has been sent for post-mortem and further action would be taken based on the results. The authorities are currently waiting for a request from family members to initiate formal proceedings.
