“Hooning” argument sparks violent brawl

A neighborhood dispute ended with a man suffering a stab wound and a lung injury in Melbourne.

The incident occurred in Melbourne’s western suburbs on Saturday evening.

Three men were hospitalized and two men were charged.

Channel 9 reports the incident was sparked by concerns about passing vehicles on the road.

Police are still looking for other people involved in the incident.

Police were called to Truganina around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

An altercation had occurred near the intersection of Botanical Drive and Bridlepath Drive.

In a statement, police said three men were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. One of the men was stabbed and the others suffered head injuries.

A 31-year-old man from Brookfield and a 27-year-old man from Truganina were arrested at the scene and charged with assault and affray.

They were granted bail and are due in Werribee Magistrates’ Court in March.

“Investigations are ongoing to identify additional people involved in the incident,” the police statement said.

Authorities want anyone with information or footage to come forward.
