Fatal crash in Hubbard County

HUBBARD COUNTY, Minn. (Valley News Live) – One person has died in a two-vehicle crash Sunday, September 29, in Hubbard County.

The accident occurred at 11:30 a.m. A Ford F150 was traveling north on US Highway 71 and a Ford Focus exited Highway 87 in front of the F150 and the vehicles collided. The Ford Focus was pushed into the western ditch. The F150 also entered the western ditch.

The driver of the Ford Focus, 72-year-old Thomas Kolden of Wadena, Minnesota, was killed in the accident. The driver and passenger of the Ford F150 both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Alcohol was not involved in the accident.
