Still, the Curtain predictions will delight fans

Don’t expect an offensive attack from the Steelers in this game, but it’s one of the better opportunities to grow on that side of the ball. The Colts enter this game with a list of names that could miss this contest due to injury. Some are role players while others are beginners. Pittsburgh will also be missing some starters, but they have the better players overall who are healthy to compete.

Pittsburgh comes into this game undefeated and they should be able to take care of business on the road based on most of the picks for this game. The Colts have a solid team, but they are a group still forming an identity. Their young quarterback has shown early signs of inconsistency that could continue into this Week 4 battle. Both teams want to play tough football at the line of scrimmage.

Expect the Steelers to get a lot of love in the prediction articles this week. They are the better team going into this game, but that doesn’t mean it will be a walk in the park. They need to eliminate Jonathan Taylor and force Anthony Richardson into a turnover or two. Pittsburgh should rise to the challenge and try to maintain its perfect record.

“The Colts are struggling in their games and the Steelers are on a three-game winning streak and have the best defense in the league. Pittsburgh’s offense seemed to gain some momentum in the second half against the Chargers, and that momentum should continue against a Colts defense that has been terrible at best compared to the run and league average elsewhere, getting his first 2+ pass -TD game and the Steelers backfield will run for 150 yards and take home the win. – Brandon Kring (Steelers 24-6)

“Steelers exceeded my expectations last week and face a Colts team this week that is a favorable matchup. Anthony Richardson, with his unpredictable ups and downs, fits right into the team’s plans. Assuming they can limit the run game, this should be Pittsburgh’s game to lose.” I hesitate to beat them 4-0, but I think they’ll take that result. – Andrew Falce (Steelers 20-13)

“Anthony Richardson got off to a slow start against some tough defenses this season. Against the league’s best defense, he won’t be able to turn things around and give the Colts a chance. In the meantime, the Steelers’ offense must have a chance.” With a high level of confidence, the Steelers win a little more comfortably. – Jacob Harrison (Steelers 23-6)

“The Steelers are one of five remaining undefeated teams in the NFL, and their journey to the top is not over yet. Although Pittsburgh lost its last game against Indianapolis, they previously won eight straight regular season games against the Colts. Meanwhile, Anthony Richardson can’t care about the football, and an elite defense could make him pay.” – Tommy Jaggi (Steelers 20-17)

“The Steelers travel to another road game against the Colts. Unfortunately, winning our first two away games cannot be transferred to this game. The Steelers play hard and end up with a close win, but the outcome will be decided by a late Colts FG.” – Eric C Hassel (Colts 20-17)

Score Prediction: Steelers 21, Colts 17

Justin Fields has shown signs of improvement every week. If he wants to keep his starting spot when Russell Wilson returns from injury, he’ll need to keep that trend going. One thing Fields could expand on is scoring touchdowns, or at least getting drives into the end zone. If Fields can build on his two-touchdown performance from last week, then Pittsburgh could be on the right track.

Najee Harris is ready for this game and it represents a great opportunity for him and Pittsburgh’s running game. They should be able to impose their will for most of the contest and make life easier for Fields. Be careful when turning the ball over and they should be able to move the ball well. Both teams want to run the ball, so time should pass quite quickly in this game.

When it comes to defense, Pittsburgh has one of the best teams in the NFL heading into Week 4. The Colts have a solid offensive line, so stopping their rushing attack will be a big challenge. It’s okay for a run or two to get loose to some extent, but the defense has to bend in those scenarios and not collapse. If they can force Richardson into a situation where he has to win the game, then that’s the perfect spot for the Steelers.

In addition to the running game, Indianapolis has a handful of solid options to throw to. This will be a big challenge for Pittsburgh’s secondary. If the Steelers can slow the run down enough and pressure Richardson, the secondary’s job will become much easier in this contest. It probably won’t be pretty, but the Steelers should be able to win by capitalizing on touchdowns instead of field goals.
