Authorities say Simi Valley mother was stabbed to death by her boyfriend

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) — A Simi Valley mother was stabbed to death in a domestic violence incident and her boyfriend was arrested for her murder, authorities confirmed.

According to Simi Valley Police, the incident occurred Friday evening. Officers responded to a residence on California Avenue after someone called authorities saying her mother had been stabbed by her live-in boyfriend.

When they arrived, they found the victim, Jessica Tinoco, 34, with multiple stab wounds to her face, chest and stomach. She was taken to hospital but did not survive her injuries.

Raymond Rivas, 34, was quickly arrested on suspicion of murder. He was booked into the Ventura County Main Jail and booked into custody for a probation violation.
