Mumbai Police: Private teacher arrested for sexual assault on minor student | Mumbai News

Mumbai: The city police arrested a 27-year-old on Sunday Coaching class teacher near the city airport after he arrived Kullu Manali. He was allegedly involved in a sexual assault on a 16-year-old girl in his coaching course, a police source said. Two younger brothers of the accused, aged 24 and 25, were arrested in the case on Saturday. The three have been accused of sexual assault since 2022.
Police had received information that the eldest brother was returning from Kullu Manali with his parents on Sunday.
An FIR has been lodged against the three brothers, who run a coaching course for students of classes VII to XII in south Mumbai. The three brothers were booked under IPC and Pocso Act sections for molestation, unnatural sex and rape.
The case was registered at a police station in central Mumbai and then transferred to a police station in south Mumbai where the coaching center is located.
In 2022, the girl joined the class, where 35 to 40 girls study. In December 2022, her mother noticed changes in her behavior and took her to a child development center in 2023, where the minor was taken. She confided the matter to an advisor in March sexual assault on her from the three brothers of the coaching class. She stopped going to coaching classes in March.
The counselor informed her mother about it and the child development center officials contacted the police and an FIR was registered.
The complainant told the police that the accused asked the girl to come to the coaching center early and leave later and sexually abused her.
A court on Saturday remanded the two younger brothers in police custody until September 30th. The eldest of the brothers is due to appear in court on Monday.
