New voter guide prepares Vermonters for Election Day

New voter guide prepares Vermonters for Election Day

MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – There’s a new way for Vermont voters to get involved in politics as we approach the general election.

This is the third election in which the state will mail a ballot to all registered voters. The Secretary of State’s Office also has a website with information about statewide and local candidates.

Officials say their goal is to give voters time to learn about their candidates.

“I hope the voter guide encourages people to use the next few weeks to engage with the candidate,” said Vt. Secretary of State Sarah Copeland-Hanzas. “Send them an email, follow them on their social media, and see if they have public events where you can come to hear them talk about the issues that matter to you.”

The general election will take place on November 5th.
