Childcare and education will be highlighted by a trial session of the National Assembly

(VOVWORLD) – The hypothetical deputies of the National Assembly for Children expressed on Sunday the concerns and hopes of local children’s voters on two issues: “Prevention of violence at school” and “Prevention of harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants, especially in the school environment”.

The Minister of Education and Training and the Minister of Health then discussed these two topics with the children’s commissioners. The question and answer session was part of the second trial session of the Children’s National Assembly, which opened on Saturday in Hanoi with the participation of more than 200 children’s representatives.

At the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man reiterated that the Party and the state always pay special attention to the protection, care and education of children.

Chairman Man expressed his impression of the performance of the deputies of the Children’s National Assembly, saying that many of the children’s questions and solutions were very relevant and realistic.

The National Assembly, the Government, ministries, sectors and organizations seriously consider issues related to children when formulating and promulgating policies and laws. The three-day trial session of the Children’s National Assembly was a success, said the Chairman of the National Assembly.

The trial session of the Children’s National Assembly serves as a forum for children to express their voices, thoughts and wishes. The model offers children the opportunity to develop their expression skills and to participate in the decision-making process on matters that affect them.
