Israeli ground operations against Hezbollah may have already begun, according to reports

After weeks of escalating tensions, Israeli forces are preparing for possible ground operations in Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah positions along the border. Although Israel has not confirmed a full ground attack, two US officials have reported that smaller operations may have already begun, focused on neutralizing Hezbollah’s military capabilities near the border. On Friday, Israeli airstrikes in Beirut killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and other senior commanders. The operation reportedly caught U.S. officials by surprise with just minutes of notice.
