Danville police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and at least three others injured

DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) — Danville police are investigating a homicide that occurred at Culture Restaurant in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m., police were called to the restaurant at 510 Spring Street where they found a man lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds, surrounded by a large crowd.

The victim, identified as 21-year-old Ammorrion R. Harris, was transported by EMS to SOVAH Health Danville where he was later pronounced dead.

Just minutes after the initial call, three additional people showed up at SOVAH Health Danville who police said suffered non-life-threatening injuries from the shooting on Spring Street.

Police said they are actively pursuing leads related to this incident. We’ll let you know as soon as we know more.
