Passaic County authorities are investigating a fatal early morning crash in Paterson

The Passaic County District Attorney’s Office is investigating a fatal accident that occurred early Sunday morning and left one person dead.The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. near the intersection of Wood and Wait Streets in Paterson.

Preliminary reports indicate that emergency responders arrived at the scene and discovered that multiple vehicles had collided.

One person was seriously injured and tragically died at the scene of the accident. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and authorities have not yet released any further details.
