Kurt Cobain’s daughter Frances and Tony Hawk’s son Riley have their first child together

Kurt Cobain’s daughter Frances and Tony Hawk’s son have welcomed their first child together.

The couple announced the news on Instagram last night US time (September 28) with some sweet baby photos.

Frances, whose parents are Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, shared the series of black and white photos that showed she and Riley welcomed a baby boy on September 17. In the caption, she wrote: “Welcome to the most beautiful son in the world. We love you more than anything.”

The 32-year-old has been married to the professional skateboarder since October 2023, when the ceremony was officiated by her godfather, former REM frontman Michael Stipe.

She shared a photo of Riley holding her son and revealed that the baby’s name is Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk.

And his grandfather, the skateboarding legend, commented: “My favorite grandson!”

Other snapshots also show the newborn holding his parents’ hands.

And many of her famous friends expressed their love for the family, with singer (and friend of the late Cobain) Kim Gordon writing: “Congratulations!”

Comic writer and reality TV star Nick Simmons also wrote: “I love you Fran and I’m so happy for you. The prophecy is fulfilled.”

Actress and daughter of Bruce Willis, Tallulah Willis, commented: “WE LOVE YOU little prince!! What a beautiful gift to such special parents. You are so loved.”

Stipe also wrote in the comments, “With all the love and energy from the entire world.”

Fans commented, “This kid is going to be SO awesome,” adding their big congratulations.
