Sherman Police warn locals about scam call

SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) – According to the Sherman Police Department, several local residents received a scam call on Saturday, September 28th from a caller claiming to be a member of the department.

The caller also stated that he had an arrest warrant and demanded money from the callers. Sherman police say these phone calls are a scam and urge everyone to be suspicious of anyone calling and demanding money over the phone.

They encourage everyone to end these calls immediately and never give out personal information to anyone who cannot be verified.
