University of KY police are investigating sexual assaults on campus, officials say

University of Kentucky police are investigating an incident in which a student reported being sexually assaulted on and off campus, according to a crime report released Sunday.

According to University Police, UK police have notified the community of a sexual assault that occurred on the UK campus on September 20 and occurred over several days off and on campus in the victim’s dorm room.

Police did not identify the residence but confirmed that the suspect and victim knew each other.

The UK investigation is ongoing and relevant campus units are working with those involved to provide resources and support.

This report comes six days after police began investigating another allegation of sexual assault on campus after a student was reportedly drugged.

The incident occurred on September 14, the same day as the home football game against Georgia.

The victim was given something to drink and was later found to contain a narcotic, “causing him to become ill and seek medical attention,” the criminal complaint states.

The following day, police received a report of the incident and campus authorities are investigating with police.
