The Molalla River School District will be closed Friday due to a threat posted on social media.

When police spotted a car similar to the one the suspect had driven away in, officers performed a “box-in maneuver” on the Burnside Bridge to stop the car.

The suspect and another person in the car were arrested and police said they recovered a handgun as evidence. At that point, officers determined the weapon was a realistic-looking BB gun, they said.
