Hiker found dead on Carvins Cove trail network

The police did not provide any information about the identity of the hiker. The missing person report was filed with the police on Thursday. On Saturday, police were called to the trail system to report a dead hiker. Emergency responders found the person and the Roanoke County Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene. The body was taken to the state medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death. The police report did not indicate which trail the body was found on.
