The Ansonia Fire Department responded to the early morning accident

ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH) — The Ansonia Fire Department responded to a car accident involving a telephone pole on the west side of town early this morning.

Shortly before 1 a.m., firefighters were alerted to a car accident on Wakelee Ave. informed. Due to the severity of the operation, additional emergency services were dispatched to the scene of the accident.

First responders, with assistance from Frank’s LLC Auto Repair Shop, were able to quickly stabilize the vehicle and safely remove an occupant, who was transported to a local hospital.

No information was provided about the occupant’s injuries.
