One dead, more injured in bus crash in Phoenix

PHOENIX (NBC, KYMA/KECY) – A bus crashed in downtown Phoenix Saturday, killing one person and injuring 16 others.

It’s unclear what caused the accident, but authorities say no other vehicles were involved.

They also say there were 23 people on the bus.

Most were taken to hospital with minor injuries, but the Department of Public Security (DPS) has confirmed that one person has died.

The accident blocked several lanes of traffic for hours.
